Backshed Guitars offers affordable and personal guitar repairs, servicing and maintenance in Adelaide, South Australia.

You can drop off your guitar and have a

personal chat about the work you want doing.

(out of hours drop off is available most days, but by arrangement only)

I run a small, personal ‘cottage industry’ (despite being in a shed!).

You will be amazed how good your instrument will sound,

feel and play after a good setup, fret polish and a good old-fashioned clean.

No question is too silly - trust me, I've been there!

With 20 years experience as a pro gigging musician in the UK and 30 years experience in repairs, maintenance and servicing, I understand what players want from their instruments - the tiny adjustments it takes to set up your guitar and get the ‘feel’ just right to suit your playing style.​

I also offer more advanced/complicated repairs such as damaged necks, broken tuners, broken headstocks, minor scratch and dent repairs, pickup changes, refrets, fret dressing, electrical repairs and pretty much anything that can go wrong with a guitar or bass.
